Birth
Mary Hope Fox was born August 2, 1848, in Rensselaerville, to Samuel Fox and his wife, Mary.
Marriage & Children
On October 1, 1862, Mary married Wesley Decker, in the Lutheran Parsonage in Berne. They had three children:
- Lucius M. Decker (1863-1958)
- Walter Decker (Abt. 1866-1882)
- Arthur Wesley Decker (1869-1964)
Mary later married Albert W. Gifford, son of Harvey Gifford and his wife Sally. Mary and Albert had nine children, all born in Berne:
- Mary Gifford
- Frederick Gifford (1872-1937)
- Austin Gifford (1873-1937)
- Charles Gifford (1876-1881)
- DeWitt Gifford (1876-1957)
- Bert Gifford (1877-1970)
- Mary Hope Gifford (1883-1966)
- William A. Gifford (1885-1955)
- James D. Gifford (1887-1978)
Death
She died August 11, 1899, at 51 years of age, in Westerlo.
