The Anti-rent Wars from the 1830s to 1880s helped unite the Hilltowns and surrounding counties.

The Hilltowns Civil War Memorial a memorial to those Hilltown soldiers who were killed, injured or disabled while serving their country.

Hilltown Gold Star Mothers were honored at the Memorial Day Parade in 1977
