Birth

Myron Lee Sr. was born in 1844 in Rensselaerville, Albany County, NY to Russell Lee (B. abt 1811, D. bef 1870) and his wife Sally Ann Brunk (B. abt 1815,D. after 1870).[1] He was in the middle of a family of nine children.

Education

Myron must have received some local schooling as he was recorded as able to read and write.[2]

Occupation

Myron was a farmer[3] and a hotel keeper[4][5].

Marriage & Children

In about 1867, Myron married Ruthmarie Emma Crawford (B. 1847, D. 1920). She was the daughter of Wilkins Crawford Sr. (B. abt 1812, D. Jan 10, 1869) and his wife Ruth.[1][3]

Despite his age, it appears that Myron did not serve in the Civil War.[6]

Life

Just about the time of his marriage, Myron's father Russell Lee died and his mother Sally lived with the newly married couple.[3] At the time Myron was still living in Rensselaerville and working as a farmer. A decade later Myron and his young family had moved to Reidsville in the Town of Berne where he was running a hotel.[4] By 1900, he and his family had returned to Rensselaerville, where he was again working as a farmer on his own property.[2] His sons, Clarence, Myron and Harry were living them on the farm. Also living with the family was a 78 year old widow named Elizabeth Lounsbury (B. June 1821, D. after 1900), who was described as a boarder. Living immediately next store was Myron's brothers Darwin Lee and Richard Lee.

Death

Myron Lee Sr. died in 1902.[1] He was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Berne.[1] His wife Ruthmarie lived for nearly two more decades, before dying in 1920 and being buried with her husband.[1]
