Birth
Lyman Peter Kniskern was born on July 4, 1840 in Berne.[1] His surname was also spelled Kneiskern. He was often known by his middle name Peter. He was the son of Paul Kniskern (B. Feb 26, 1810, D. Oct 26, 1901) and Hannah Codner (B. May 11, 1811, D. Sept 1, 1894).[1][2]

Lyman Peter married two times; first to a woman named Maria and then before 1880 to a woman named Clara (B. abt 1842, D. unk).[1]
Lyman married at about 1865, Maria ______ who was born in January of 1842 in Otsego County[3], New York. They had no children.[4]
