John Amasa[1] Alverson was born on March 1, 1838[2] to Leonard Alverson (B. Aug 21, 1808, D. Feb 17, 1874) and Elizabeth Wilber (B. abt July 22, 1806, D. July 21, 1889). He was one of seven children.
Marriage & Children
On October 10, 1862 John married Esther A. (Eunisa) Shafer who was born on November 10, 1842, a daughter of Isaac Shafer and Catherine Wentworth. They had the following known children:[3]
