Heroes of Albany - Elias Hanes

Elias Hanes was born in Knox, September 28, 1844 and enlisted in the Seventh Regiment July 26, 1862. He served his country faithfully for two years, and died of wounds in the leg, received at Cold Harbor. His remains rest in the Knoxville Cemetery."
