Willett B. Mackey was born at Rensselaerville in 1827, a son of Alexander Mackey, Jr. [1]and Clarissa Elliott[2]
Occupation
He was a farmer by occupation and a Democrat in politics, and held the office of highway commissioner. [1]
Marriage & Children
He married Hannah E. Reinhart of Schoharie county, N. Y., a daughter of John J. Reinhart, an early settler of Rensselaerville on March 30, 1852 at the Beaverdam Dutch Reformed Church in Berne, NY.
To Mr. Mackey and wife were born two sons and one daughter who grew to man and womanhood:
- Charles Mackey He married Hannah E. Reinhart of Schoharie county, N. Y., a daughter of John J. Death
Willett died in 1889 and is buried at Brookside Cemetery at Preston Hollow. His wife is also buried there but her date of death is unknown.
