Mr. Hoffman was buried on February 16, 1976 in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Berne, New York.

Obituary George E. Hoffman, Sr., of Bradt Hill Rd., West Berne, died February 13 after a long illness. A former Long Island resident, Mr. Hoffman had lived in the area for the past six years. He was the proprietor of Hoffs and Sons of Long Island; a veteran of World War II; a member of the American Legion Post, Long Island, and a communicant of St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ann Van Cura Hoffman; four sons, John, George, Jr., James, Matthew, and the late Kevin Patrick. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, all of Long Island, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held February 16 from the Fredendall Funeral Home and thence to St. Bernadette's church, Berne, where a Mass of Christian Burial was held. Rev. William Walsh officiated. Interment was in the Woodlawn cemetery, Berne. Published in the Altamont(NY) Enterprise, Page 6, 27 Feb 1976 Issue.
