William was born in 1760. [1]

He married Abiliny Shepard, a daughter of Joseph Shepard[1] at about 1786. Their known children:

  • William Bentley, Jr. born about 1789[1]
  • Olive Bentley was born in 1791. She married Peter Capwell[1]

At about 1800 he married Abigail Smith, a daughter of Elisha Smith[1] who was the widow of _____Hopkins. Their known children were:

  • Alvah Bentley
  • George H. Bentley was born in 1806[1]
  • Edwin S. Bentley
  • Alexander N. Bentley

Death

Abiliny Shepard Bentley died sometime after 1791. William died in 1820[1]
