Theodore Lounsbury, Father of 17, Dies

Funeral services were held Sunday for Theodore Lounsbury, 56, father of 17 children, who died last Thursday night at his home in Dormanswille.

A lifelong resident of Dormansville area, he was employed by the Duffy-Mott Co. of Voorheesville. He was a member of the Westerlo Town Board of Assessors and the Westerlo Volunteer Fire Department.

Besides his wife, the former Lena B. Fisher, he is survived by 11 sons, Patrick, Harold, Lloyd, John, Clyde, Dennis, Terrence, Roger, William, Thomas, and Theodore Lounsbury, Jr. six daughters, Mrs. Robert Peck, Mrs. Henry Manss, Janet, Janic, Betty Jean and Sandra Lounsbury, and 11 grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p. m. at the Applebee Funeral Home, Delmar. The Rev. Donald Boyce of Westerlo Reformed church officiated. Burial was in Onesquethaw cemetery.

Dormansville

BERKHOFER -- LOUNSBURY

A fall wedding took place at Dormansville United Methodist church Saturday afternoon, Nov 2 when Miss Janet Lounsbury was married to Donald Berkhofer

The bride was given in marriage by her brother Theodore Lounsbury. The ceremony was performed by the pastor of the church, Rev William Robertson. Miss Laura Palmer gave a program of organ music preceding the ceremony and Pastor Robertson sang, "O Perfect Love" and "Because." He also sang the Lords Prayer during the ceremony

Miss Lounsbury was attended by her sisters Miss Janice Lounsbury and Miss Sandra Lounsbury and Miss Mary Jane Slingerland. Tammy Lounsbury was flower girl and Jeff Lounsbury was ring bearer, niece and nephew of the bride.

The bride's dress was full length white crepe; with a lace train, and lace trim Her maid of honor Janice Lounsbury wore a full-length dress of green brocade with matching hair bow. Her bridesmaids and flower girl were attired in gold brocade, with matching hair bows. All carried yellow bouquets. A reception followed in the church social room. Best wishes are extended Mr and Mrs Berkhofer for a happy married life.
