WESTERLO -- Robert `Dusty` Slingerland, 66, died Friday, October 26, 2001 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany. Robert was born in Albany and had lived in Jefferson Valley NY before moving back to this area four months ago. He was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. Survivors include his sister, Evelyn D. Dunican; half sister, Mary Lou Campbell and step-sister Elizabeth Katchoridan; half brothers, Raymond and James P. Slingerland; step brother, Ronald Roland; beloved companion Marcy Grabrovac; and many nieces and nephews. His parents, Gladys and James Slingerland and his brother, Eugene Slingerland predeceased him. A graveside service will be held 10:00 Monday morning, October 29, 2001 at Elmwood Cemetery, Rte. 9W, Selkirk. Contributions in memory of Robert may be made to the American Society.
