Birth

Leonard C. Sant (Leonard C. Saut) was born in Knox (or Sterling, Cayuga Co., NY) on Feb. 14, 1828, the son of Christian Sant III (1798 - 1873) and Sarah Hunting Sant (1798 - 1869). He was the grandson of Christian Sand (Sant) Jr. (1768 – 1843) and Eve (Eva) Tsee Zeh (1774 – 1854). His siblings were:

• Peter Sand (Sant) (1830 – 1851)
