WILLIAM SKINNER

The many friends of William C. Skinner were pained to hear of his death which occurred at his home here, May 5th (1927). Mr. Skinner died after an illness of about ten days of pneumonia. He was a kind father and husband and a good neighbor, and will be greatly missed. The funeral was largely attended at his late home. There were many beautiful floral wreaths. Rev. Donald Boyce officiated. Undertaker Schell, of West Berne, had charge of the arrangements.

Surviving are his widow Harriet S. Skinner: four daughters, Mrs. Fannie Gallup of East Berne, Mrs Nettie Filkins of South Berne, Mrs. MInnie Strevell of this place, and Miss Leona Skinner of Albany; three sons, Lewis, Harold and Earl Skinner; five grandchildren, Elsie and Betty Strevell, Doris F. Filkins, Marjorie Gallup and Clyde Filkins. two nephews and on brother, Durant Skinner of South Berne. Interment was in the South Berne Rural Cemetery.

Skinner, Elsmere and Earl Skinner, Rome, and the late Mrs. Fannie Gallup and Lewis D. Skinner; also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the South Berne Christian church.
