Birth

Thomas Stafford Sr. was born in about 1804 in Knox, Albany County, NY to John Sweet Stafford (B. Mar 1, 1767, D. Mar 20, 1826) and Sarah Doty (B. Mar 3, 1769, D. Nov 1837).[1] His siblings were:

Life

In 1870 Thomas was still working as a farmer in Berne at the age of 66.[2] His youngest daughters Emma and Mary were living with Thomas and Maria as well as their young grandson William Taylor (B. 1861, D. after 1880) who was the son of their daughter Lydia Stafford Taylor.[2][5][6][7]

Death

Thomas' wife Maria died first on April 24, 1881 and he followed three years later on April 14, 1884.[1] He died in Knox and was buried at the High Point Cemetery in Knox.[1]
