He graduated from Berne Knox Westerlo High School in 1951. [1]

Marriage and Children

He married Shirley and they had two sons and a daughter. They are Michael, Brian, and Kim Morey. [1]

Occupation

Bob worked at the Berne Knox Westerlo Schools as head custodian. He was a life member of the Berne Vol. Fire Co., a member of the Helderberg Ambulance Squad and Berne Lodge F&AM. [1]

Military Service

Mr. Morey was a U.S. Navy Korean Conflict veteran.[1]

Death

Robert died at Berne, New York on April 23, 2005. [1]

Obituary BERNE -- V. Robert (Bob) Morey, 72, died peacefully at home with his beloved wife by his side on Saturday, April 23, 2005. Bob was born in White Creek, N.Y. and moved to Berne in 1943 where he graduated from Berne Knox Westerlo High School in 1951. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran. Bob worked at the Berne Knox Westerlo Schools as head custodian. He was a life member of the Berne Vol. Fire Co., a member of the Helderberg Ambulance Squad and Berne Lodge F&AM. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Baker Morey. He is survived by his beloved wife and friend of 14 years, Shirley Morey; two sons, Michael Morey (Sherry) of Coeymans and Brian Morey of Knox and his fiancee Linda of Wis.; one daughter, Kim Hempstead (Paul) of Knox; one sister, Patricia Favreau of Berne. He is also survived by five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Bernadette's Church, Berne, N.Y. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Berne. Those who wish may make contributions in Bob's memory to the Berne Fire Dept., Berne, NY 12023 or Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
