Robert was born in East Berne, New York on November 25, 1919, the son of Judson Richard Filkins (4 OCT 1886 - 16 JUL 1951) and Phebe J. Moore (1897 - AFT 1 JUN 1920) Other spouse of Judson Richard Filkins were Lillian (Lillie) M Pitcher, Alice Minnie Guiles, and Berniece Riley. Robert was the only child of Judson and Phebe.

Obituary EARLTON -- Robert M. Filkins, 76, of Peatsbed Road died Monday at the Stratton Veteran Affairs Medical Center Hospital, Albany. He was born in East Berne. Mr. Filkins was an Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Filkins was employed by the Tobin Packing Co. of Albany. Survivors include his wife, Mary Young Filkins; three sons, Robert Filkins of Ravena, William Filkins of Waterloo, S.C., and Thomas Filkins of Woodruff, S.C.; a daughter, Virginia Brockner of Climax; and three grandchildren. A service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Brady Funeral Home, 97 Mansion St., Coxsackie. Private cremation will take place Thursday at Wiltuyck Crematory, Kingston. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Coxsackie Rescue Squad, 38 Mansion St., Coxsackie, NY 12051.
