[Town Board] Democrat Robert Mangold is seeking re-election to the town board. "I've enjoyed my years," said Mangold, who has served on the board since 1986. "I'm here and I listen." He is married and raised five children. Mangold grew up in Freehold and graduated from Greenville High School in 1954. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a heavy equipment operator for 30 years before retiring. He has sold real estate for the past 15 years. Mangold said he got involved in town politics because he wanted to serve the town but did not want to be a fireman or rescue squad volunteer. "I wanted to offer something back to the town" said Mangold. "It's been very fulfilling."
