Anna was born on September 2, 1885, in Indian Fields, Albany Co., NY to William Freleigh and Sarah Anna Carr.

Anna married Delos Bates. They had ten children that were raised in Dormansville. Their children were:

Death
She died on January 23, 1965, at 79 years of age. She was buried in Hannacroix Rural Cemetery in Dormansville.

BATES - At Westerlo, N.Y., Annie L. Freleigh; wife of the late Delos Bates; mother of Mrs Fred Gundrum, Mrs. Edna Charlebois and the late Mrs. Anna Hallenbeck, Charles, William, Albert, George, Frederick, Alfred and Clarence Bates; sister of Mrs. Daisy Decker, Albert and Frank Freleigh. Also survived by several grand and great-grandchildren. Funeral services Tuesday 2 p.m. from the Cunningham funeral home, Greenville. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening 7 to 9 o'clock. Interment Hannacroix Cemetery.
