Birth

Johannes S. Fisher was born in Beaver Dam on or about December 14, 1751, a son of Peter Fisher and Dorothea Ball. [1]

Marriage & Children

On October 10, 1773 at the Reformed Church of Schoharie in Schoharie, NY he married Elisabeth Enders who was born on January 7, 1751 in Schoharie County, a daughter of William Enders and Elizabetha Margaretha Knieskern[1]. Their known children were:

  • Dorothea Fisher was born on February 10, 1774 at Beaver Dam, she married Jacob Sand[1]
  • Peter Fisher was born on October 27, 1779 at Beaver Dam, he married Christina Lawyer[1]
  • Margaretha Fisher was born on September 22, 1787 at Beaver Dam, she likely died young. [1]

Occupation

He was a farmer. He was also a slave owner.

Death

Elizabeth died on November 29, 1807 in Berne. Johannes died on May 26, 1811 at Berne. Their burials were at the Berne and Beaverdam Cemetery in Berne. [1]
