Birth
William Asa Hess was born in Rensselaerville on December 16, 1843, a son of Jacob Hess and Henrietta (Margaret) Starkweather[1]
Occupation
William was a farmer. He remained in the household with his parents until he married. After his marriage he continued working as a farmer.
