Birth
Adam Dietz Eckerson was born 19 May 1769 perhaps in Schoharie or what is now Knox, N.Y., to Johannes Eckerson & Engeltie Vrooman. His father, Johannes, was a member of the pre-colonial militia of N.Y., under Capt. William McGinnes (see http://french-indian.morrisonspensions.org/nyprov-1.pdf).
Marriage and Children
He married Elizabeth Fetterly, a daughter of Philip Fetterly and Anna Margaretha Schumacher/Schumann. Adam & Elizabeth's children were as follows:
