Mr. Hall worked for General Electric Company in Schenectady for 26 years.[1]

John served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam.[1]

Death

Mr. Hall died suddenly on July 18, 1997 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, New York.[1]

Obituary

[Knox]--John Tyo Hall, 50, of Nancy Lane, died suddenly Friday at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Mr. Hall was born in Ogdensburg (St. Lawrence Co.) and graduated in 1965 from the nearby Lisbon Central High School. He moved to Knox in 1979. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict, and won many commendations. His wife, Diane Liddle Hall, said her husband was very proud of his service. Mr. Hall worked for the General Electric Co. in Schenectady as a bucket polisher for 26 years. Mr. Hall liked to play golf and poker. When he was younger, he played baseball on a team in Schenectady. "He was a very happy-go-lucky, personable guy," his wife said. "He had a lot of friends." In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Shawn P. Hall; two sisters, Carol A. Hall of Albany and Catherine U. Wilkinson of Knox; two brothers, Michael C. Hall of Knox and James L. Hall of Gallupville; two aunts; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service was held Sunday at the Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont.
