Birth
Thomas was born on September 24, 1802 in Berne, a son of Thomas Denison and Mary Crary. [1]
Marriage & Children
At about 1824 he married Gertrude Charity Shultes who was born on September 19, 1802 at Berne, a daughter of Matthius Shultes and Gertrude Post. [1] Their children:
- Edward Crary Denison was born on January 4, 1825. His wife was Margaret, and he lived in Schoharie County. He served in the Civil War[1]
- John Shultes Denison was born on December 27, 1826[1], no further information
- Alvira Denison was born May 22, 1833, she married Peter I. Hochstrasser [1]
- Sarah Denison was born at about 1831, she married Jacob N. Weidman[1]
- Jane Denison was born June 16, 1844, she married Wesley A. Wright[1]
- Charity Ester Denison was born in 1847, she married Isaac Wiltey[1]
- Eliza Denison was born on September 14, 1828, no further information[1]
- Elmira Denison was born on May 22, 1833, no further information[1]
- Jesse Denison was born on July 2, 1837[1], he died as a result of his service in the Civil War.
- Thomas Newton Denison was born on April 11, 1839, married Lodema Decker[1]
- Alvin Denison was born at about 1841[1], no further information
- Jennie Denison was born in November of 1842, married Frederick Palmatier[1]
- Minor Denison was born on January 19, 1841, married Lovisa Welch[1]
Death
Thomas and Charity both died on October 26, 1848 in Huntersland. They were buried at Cook’s Cemetery. [1]
