Birth

Nicholas N. Hallenbeck was born in Schoharie Co., NY at about 1842, a son of Jacob and Emeline Hallenbeck.

Occupation

At times, Nicholas was a farmer, but he worked mainly as a merchant, selling groceries.

Marriage & Children

At about 1868, he married in Rensselaerville, Emma, a daughter of Henry and Sarah Kline. They had one son, Frank Hallenbeck, who was born in 1869.

Nicholas received his Civil War pension on or about June 7, 1870. He died on August 4, 1930 at Albany, NY.[1]His widow, Emma, received her pension on September 25, 1930.
