BETHLEHEM Services will be private for Helen McClellan Breeze, 84, who died Thursday (July 13, 1995) at her Slingerlands home.
Mrs. Breeze was born in London, England. She graduated from Cambridge Valley High School in Cambridge and Wells College in Aurora, Cayuga County, and attended London School of Economics. Her interests ranged from land planning and construction to farming and education to art. She was the former president of the Bonsai Society and the Rhododendron Society. She was a contributor to Handweaver and Craftsmen, a teacher to many children and an accomplished writer. She was the widow of Howard G. Breeze.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary B. Browne of Knox; a son, John H. Breeze of New Scotland; a brother, Robert McClellan of Geneseo; a sister, Margaret Jones of Falls Church, Va.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the Helen Breeze Fund, c/o Development Office, Wells College, Aurora, NY 13026. Arrangements are by the Applebee Funeral Home, Delmar.
