Birth
Russell Lee was born in about 1811 to Richard Lee Sr. (B. unknown, D. bef 10 Jan 1848) and his wife Anna (B. abt 1781, D. after 1850).[1][2] Russell was one of numerous children of which no firm list exists, however it appears his siblings may have included:
- Richard Lee Jr. (B. abt 1804)
- William Lee (B. abt 1804)
- Elim Lee (B. abt 1814)
- Hiram Lee (B. 1821)
- Elisha Lee (B. abt 1829)
- Joseph Lee
- Eliza Lee married Garret Barkman
- David Lee
- Luther Lee
- Emma Lee married John Simpson
The above were all named in the will of Richard Lee, their father. Whether there were more who didn't survive or were just excluded from the will is unknown.

Russell was a farmer.[3]
Marriage & Children
Before 1839, Russell married Sally Ann Brunk (B. 1815, D. after 1870), whose parentage is unknown.[1]
They had the following children:

Life
Russell Lee appears to have lived most or all of his life in Rensselaerville, Albany County, NY. In 1840 Russell was living with his young family in Rensselaerville next to his father Richard Lee Sr. and brother Richard Lee Jr..[2] His father Richard Sr. died in the 1840s. A decade later, Russell was documented as a farmer, who owned property.[4] He continued to live near his brothers William, Hiram and Richard Jr. His mother Anna was living with her son Richard Jr. In 1860, Russell was still working as a farmer on land valued $4000.00.[5] Next store lived his brother Elim Lee and his young family. Two and three houses away on the other side respectively were his brothers Elisha Lee and William Lee. After Russell's death, his wife Sally lived with their son Myron Lee Sr. and was recorded in the 1870 Census.[6]
Death
Russell Lee died before 1870 probably in Rensselaerville, Albany County, NY.[6] His wife Sally survived him, however her death date is unknown.[6] Their burial locations have not been found.[1]
