Robert was born about 1925 in Amsterdam, New York.
Marriage and Children
Mr. Dolen married Ruth Mary ____ and they had four sons and three daughters. The sons are Robert, Karl, Eric, and Richard Dolen. The daughters are Jane, Ruth, and Joan Dolen.
Occupation
He worked for Tobin Meat Packing Company for 20 years, shortly there after he was the proprietor of Meads Corner Inn for many years and more recently worked as a carpenter.
Military Service
Mr. Dolen was in the Army serving in the European Theatre.
Death
Robert died in Westerlo on May 28, 2000.

Obituary WESTERLO -- Robert J. Dolen, 75, died Sunday, May 28, 2000 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Amsterdam, he was a lifelong Capital District resident. Mr. Dolen was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the European Theatre. He worked for Tobin Meat Packing Company for 20 years, shortly there after he was the proprietor of Meads Corner Inn for many years and more recently worked as a carpenter. Husband of Ruth Mary Dolen; father of Robert Dolen of Westerlo, Jane Kinney of Averill Park, Karl Dolen of Albany, Ruth Bader of Westerlo, Eric Dolen of Delmar, Richard Dolen of Glenmont and Joan Stannard of Westerlo; brother of Edward Dolen of Scotia, Florence Dolen of Schenectady, Jane Gross of Schenectady, Mary Evans of Texas and the late Raymond and Herbert Dolen and Eleanor Wright; grandfather of Christie Lynn, Bobbie Marie, Edward, Alfred, Scott, David, Mike, Steve, Karly, Christopher, Robert, Lisa, Ruth, Erica, Katie, Eric, Robert, Jon Michael, Lindsay, Nicole and Emily; also survived by six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
