Birth
Silas Hunt was born in Westerlo on January 12, 1825, a son of Oliver Hunt and Betsey Knowles. [1]

Death
At sometime between 1870 and 1880, Silas, his wife and their son Franklin, moved to Knox County, Nebraska where Silas died in 1907 (1908[4]). His wife, Sarah, died in 1916. Both are buried at the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Knox Co., Nebraska.
