Vertie Lee and Isaac Walden



Birth

Vertie Lee was born 1874 daughter of Joseph Lee (B. abt 1841, D. 1918) and Emily Hempstead (B. 1846, D. 1909).[1] She had an older brother Jarvis R. Lee (B. July 1, 1863, D. July 18, 1940).[1]

Marriage & Children

About 1896 she married Isaac L. Walden (B. abt 1862, D.>1945).[1] They had one son, Reade W. Walden who was born 1899 and died 19 Jan. 1925 Schenectady.[1] He is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery.[1]

Life

Vertie went to the Methodist Church. Her obituary said, "She was blessed with a sunny disposition and her genial smile and friendly way will be greatly missed."[2]

Death

Vertie died 1944 on a Monday morning."[2] A year before her death she had broken a hip."[2] She was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Berne."[2][1] Her husband survived her."[2]
