Birth

Horace, a brother of Leander, was born in Westerlo on February 28, 1841, a son of Samuel Lockwood and Margaret Swope.[1]

Occupation and Avocation

Mr. Lockwood has the old Allen farm of 164 acres and eighty acres where he resides. In politics he is a Democrat and held the office of assessor for six years in succession. Mr. Lockwood is a member of J. M. Austin Lodge No. -567, F. & A. M. and the Christian church of South Westerlo.[1]

Marriage & Children

In 1865 he married Esther, daughter of Samuel Green and Nancy Townsend of Westerlo.[1]
They had three children:

  • Mary Helen Lockwood [1]
