On December 12, 1766, Elijah married Keziah Davis in New York County, NY. She had been born between 1730 and 1735 in Brookhaven Suffolk County, NY and was the daughter of Joseph Davis (1702-1790) and Elizabeth Parshall (1705-1793). They had the following children:

  • Israel Parshall Wickes (B. May 18, 1768, D. 1848)
  • Elijah Wickes Jr. (B. Nov 11, 1769, D. April 13, 1842)
  • Ebenezar Wickes (B. June 24, 1772)
  • Kezia Wickes (B. July 5, 1776, D. Oct 12, 1856)
  • Bradford Wickes (B. June 2, 1778)
  • Joel Wickes (B. May 11, 1783)
  • Joanna Wickes (B. Feb 18, 1786, D. about 1806)
  • Amy Wickes (B. Nov 5, 1788, D. July 29, 1859)

Their son Elijah Wickes Jr. was christened at the Huntington First Church.
