Kenneth was born on June 19, 1923 in Albany to Earl and Edna Ferguson Sagendorf.
Marriage and Children
Mr. Sagendorf married Dorothy Acker and they had two sons--Kenneth and Gary Sagendorf.
Military Service
Mr. Sagendorf was a World War II Marine Corps veteran, 3rd Marine Division, having received a Purple Heart, wounded in the Battle of Iwo Jima.
Death
Kenneth died July 8, 2001 at his home at Venice, Florida.
Burial
Burial will be on July 13, 2001, in the Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands, New York.

VENICE, FL -- Kenneth Earl Sagendorf, 78, formerly of East Berne, died July 8, 2001 at his home. He was born on June 19, 1923 in Albany to Earl and Edna Ferguson Sagendorf. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran, 3rd Marine Division, having received a Purple Heart, wounded in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He was a member of the Mason F & M Lodge #684 in Berne and the American Legion #154 in Venice, FL. He enjoyed swimming, bike riding and hiking. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Acker) Sagendorf of Venice, FL; two sons, Kenneth Sagendorf of Schenectady and Gary Sagendorf of Amesbury, MA; a stepson, David Kling of Slingerlands; a stepdaughter, Barbara Kling of Delmar; sisters, Gertrude Keville of Latham, Gladys Johnson of Ballston Spa, Thelma Blackburn of West Sand Lake and Amy Boers of Schenectady; two grandchildren, Stephen Sagendorf of Syracuse and Jennifer Sagendorf of Schenectady; one great-grandson, Anthony Sagendorf of Schenectady. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 o'clock at the First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville, Maple Rd., Voorheesville, NY 12186. Burial will be in the Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville.
