Ella Bell Warner was born July 15, 1898[1], at Warner's Lake, Berne, NY[2], the daughter of Arthur Haswell Warner (25 DEC 1862[1] - March 28, 1938[3]) of East Berne[4] and Minnie Bell Osterhout (16 AUG 1863[1]. - August 7, 1931[5]). Her brothers and sisters were:

Ellie Warner married Archie D. Willsey (May 24, 1894 - November 5, 1965)[10] on June 14, 1922[11]. Archie D. Willsie was the son of William Willsey (1864 - November 26, 1933)[12] and Laura Seabury (1869 - February 24, 1955[13] ). Their children were:

  • Janis Willsey (Mrs. Everett Pearson)[2]
  • Morris Willsey[2]


Death

Ella Warner Willsey died Decmber 16, 1988[1] at Albany Hospital.[2]

Ella Willsey

Funeral services for Ella B. Willsey were conducted from the Fredendali Funeral Home in Altamont last week Friday with the Rev. Robert G. Hoffman officiating. Spring interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Born July 15, 1898 at Warner's Lake, the daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie Warner, she was the sister of the late Raymond, Chester, and Luther Warner. When she married the late Archie Willsey in 1924 she moved to the family farm on Sickle's Hill Road where she lived until she entered the Albany Hospital a few days before her death, Dec, 16. Archie Willsey preceded her in death in the mid '60s.

Mrs. Willsey was a member of the Beaverdam and Berne Reformed Churches, where she was active in the Missionary Society and in the Women's Group of Schoharie Reformed Church Classis. She was a member of the Berne Historical Society and a charter member of Uhai Chapter 803, OES, where she served as secretary for over 50 years and as worthy matron in 1942.

She is survived by two children, Mrs. Everett(Janis)Pearson and Morris Willsey in Berne and also by several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
