Birth

Manly Cary was born April 26, 1875 to Charles F. Cary (B. 1844, D. 1892) and Christina Alhoff (B. May 9, 1845, D. Sept 11, 1916). He was the youngest child and the only boy of their three children. [1]

Marriage & Children

In about 1895, Manly married Florence Eldridge (B. Jan 28, 1873), who was the daughter of Jacob H. Eldridge and Sarah Ann Southwick. [1] They had three children:

  • Charles H. Cary
  • Hazel Cary
  • Emma Cary (B. Nov 25, 1907-2003)

Life

Manly lived most of his life in Reidsville, Albany County, NY. After his father's death and his subsequent marriage, his mother Christina lived with him and his family. In about April of 1915, he and his family moved to Voorheesville, Albany County, NY. Then on September 11, 1916, his mother died. [1]

Death

Florence died on December 31, 1942 at Knox.
