Robert was born in Brooklyn, New York about 1945 to Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Schenk.[1]

Mr. Schenk married Linda and had daughter Kelli Marie Schenk.[1]

He had been a purchasing officer for the state Thruway Authority in Albany for the past 23 years.[1]

Mr. Schenk was in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam.[1]

WESTERLO Robert W. Schenk, 50, died Sunday in St. Peter's Hospital, Albany. Mr. Schenk was born in Brooklyn. He lived in Greenville, Greene County, and Albany before moving to Westerlo. He had been a purchasing officer for the state Thruway Authority in Albany for the past 23 years. Mr. Schenk was a Navy veteran, and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Nathaniel Blanchard American Legion Post 1040, and the Thruway Authority's Wednesday night golf league. Survivors include his wife, Linda Schenk; a daughter, Kelli Marie Schenk of Westerlo; his father, Edward J. Schenk of Albany; and four sisters, Ellen A. Moak of Rensselaerville, Barbara J. Martin of Knox, Cecilia Goldbach of East Haven, Conn., and Theresa Lawrence of Simsbury, Conn. Services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday in the Frederick Funeral Home, 16 Manning Square, Albany, and 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Central Avenue, Albany. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Westerlo Rescue Squad, Westerlo, NY 12193.
