Birth

Edward Crary Denison was born in Berne on January 4, 1825, a son of Thomas Crary Denison and Gertrude (Charity) Shultes [1] He was a brother of Jesse Denison who also served in the Civil War but died on his return home from a disability discharge.

Marriage & Children

He married Ursula, his first wife at about 1855. [1] It appears that the name Ursula as given on the 1860 census was incorrect. His wife was named Margaret and they had a daughter:

  • Lilly Denison.

After Margaret's death, Edward, in his 70's, married Lovisa Welch, the widow of his brother, Minor Denison.
