Robert J. Spadaro was born in 1948 in Albany, the son of Joseph P. Spadaro and Cora Dexter. Cora was the daughter of Luther Dexter and Minnie Gaige. His brother was:

ALTAMONT — Robert J. Spadaro, 42, of Route. 146, died Friday in Albany Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Albany, he lived in Altamont most of his life. He was a graduate of Guilderland Central High School and Paul Smith's College., with a degree in forestry.
Unemployed at the time of his death, he had been an insurance examiner with the state Department of Labor in Albany, a position he held since 1975. Before that, he was employed by the state Department of Environmental Conservation since 1968.
Mr. Spadaro was a communicant of St. Lucy's Roman Catholic Church in Altamont.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Mack Spadaro; his father, Joseph P. Spadaro of Altamont; a brother, Ronald P. Spadaro of Albany; and his maternal grandmother, Minnie Dexter of Knox.
