Birth

Mathias was born on May 11, 1785 in Berne, a son of William Schultes and Catherina Post. [1]


Marriage & Children

On October 15, 1808 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Schoharie, he married Dorothea Dietz who was born on January 29, 1786 a daughter of Col. Johan Jost Dietz. If Mathias and Dorothy had children, none survived to adulthood. [1]

Death

Mathias died on August 18, 1812 at Berne[1] . Dorothy likely died at about 1828, based the date Mathias’s will was probated.
