History
Haverly Reunion
The Haverly family is having its annual reunion on July 18, 1998 at the Berne Town Park, on Route 143, just outside the village; A "Drive About" tour is scheduled for the next day, June 19. BKW Director of Music Mitchell Haverly is the grandson of the late William Haverly who was district - Superintendent of schools when I (Alberta Wright) attended the one room red brick school district #14 on the corner where Albany County, Route., Ravine Road branches off from Route 1, Switzkill Road. William served until the Berne-Knox Central School District began in 1932.
