Mr. Wilson was born in Albany, New York, February 6, 1948, <ref name="SSDI">Social Security Death Index</ref>, the son of the late Frederick W. and Virginia Wilson.

He married Judith A. _____ and had three sons, Stephen F., Frederick W. III, and Brian W. Wilson.
==Occupation==
Frederick worked in the railroad industry for 30 years with Conrail, and retired from CSX as the chief mechanical officer locomotives in 2000.

Rick was a Vietnam War veteran.
==Death==
Frederick "Rick" W. Wilson II, 60, of Knox passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 30, 2008 with family at his side after a long illness.
==Burial==
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 9 a.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, and an interment to follow at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Saratoga.

KNOX Frederick "Rick" W. Wilson II, 60, of Knox passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 30, 2008 with family at his side after a long illness. He had spent the day doing what he loved fishing in the Florida Keys. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Frederick W. and Virginia Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Judith A. Wilson; his three sons, Stephen F. (Eileen) Wilson, Frederick W. Wilson III, and Brian W. Wilson; sister, Barbara (Norman) Snitchler and brother Kevin Wilson; and grandsons, Andrew S. and Colin P. Wilson. Rick was a Vietnam War veteran, and a proud member of American Legion Post 977. He worked in the railroad industry for 30 years with Conrail, and retired from CSX as the chief mechanical officer locomotives in 2000. He then returned to the Capital Region from Jacksonville, Florida. He was an avid fisherman, and a devoted father who raised his boys to treat people the way they wanted to be treated. He loved nature, working his farm, and spending his free time with his wife and best friend Judi and his sons. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 9 a.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, and an interment to follow at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Saratoga. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 3 to 7 p.m. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of New York Oncology Hematology and St. Peter's Cancer Care Center, Radiation Oncology. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rick's memory to St. Peter's Cancer Care Center, Radiation Oncology, 317 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
