OBITUARY.<br>
''Mrs. Stephen Pangburn died at her home near Fuller's Station, on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Her death is not only a severe blow to the family but is also to the neighborhood in which she resided. The deceased decended from a family noted for their industry, and she inherited this trait to a remarkable extent. Mrs. Pangburn was born in the town of Knox, Albany Co., 84 years ago. She was married in 1840 to Mr. Stephen Pangburn, to whom she proved a faithful and loving wife. She ever shed upon the home circle, a ray of light by her pleasant smile and encouraging words. She was converted at the age of 18 and joined the M.. E. church;., which she loved dearly. The State Road church loses, in her, a devoted and consistent member. Though feeble in body, she was strong in her religious influence and faith. She was remarkable strong for her age, up to a week before her death; when she was taken with a chill which resulted in a stroke of paralysis, causing her death. To her it was a sacred privilege to attend religious worship. Now there is an empty chair in that home and many will miss her, but though she is dead, yet she speaketh through the blessed influence of example, which will shed a halo around her memory. Truly another soul has been taken from the church militant below to the church triumphant above; and we bow in submission to His will. We know that our loss is her eternal gain. "Blessed are they who die in the Lord from henceforth, Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them." The deceased leaves a husband, aged 79 years, two children; D. Emery Pangburn, of Knox and Mrs. Maria Chappell,of Fuller's Station, and three brothers, Alanson. VanAuken, aged 89, of New York, Edward VanAuken, aged 81, of Middleburgh and Miner VanAuken, aged 79, of Utica. She leaves a number of grandchildren and friends to mourn her loss. The Rev. W. Sands officiated, assisted by Rev. S. T. Homer. Funeral was held at the house, Feb. 15, at 1:30 p. m.''<br>
