Hilda was born on May 28, 1892, in [[Medusa]] to [[Fletcher D. Tallman]] and [[Mary Ellen Tappan]]. She grew up in [[Rensselaerville]], living with her parents and also her grandfather, [[Salem M. Tallman]] for a time.

On September 15 1909, Hilda married Herbert Louis Miller in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albany,_New_York Albany] when she was 17 years old. Immediately following their marriage they lived in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albany,_New_York Albany] with Hilda's mother Mary. After moving from there they bought their own house in nearby [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonie_(town),_New_York Colonie]. Hilda and Herbert spent their remaining years there where they raised eight children; Isabella, Herbert, Margaret, Hilda, Gertrude, Audrey, Agnes and Alfred.

Hilda died on February 11, 1985, in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonie_(town),_New_York Colonie] at 92 years of age and is buried with her husband in [http://www.memorysgarden.org/ Memory's Garden].
