Johannes Swart was born on October 30, 1766 in Berne, Albany Co., NY a son of [[ Conrad Swart]] and Maria Elisabeth Ecker. His known siblings were:
*Jacob Swart who was born in 1769 and married Rebecca Reinhart

After the death of his mother, his father married a second time. His known half-siblings from that marriage were:

John died between August 27, 1830 and October 1, 1839. Eva’s date of death is unknown but is believed to have been between 1860 and 1865 in Knox.
