Ebenezer was born in April of 1830.<ref name="1900 Census">1900 Census, Westerlo, Albany Co., NY</ref>, a son of [[Andrew Stewart]] and Lydia Seaman both of Albany County, but spent their last days in Greenville.<ref name="Landmarks">[[Landmarks of Albany County]], NY, Edited by Amasa J. Parker, Albany, NY</ref>

==Occupation==
Ebenezer Stewart has been a farmer, speculator in stock and wool buyer; his business is now dealing in wool at South Westerlo, which business he has followed twenty-five years.<ref name="Landmarks"/>

==Marriage and Children==
Ebenezer married Catherine Carpenter, a daughter of [[Thomas G. Carpenter]] and Janett Green.<ref name="Landmarks"/> at about 1849.<br>
They had two children:<br>
