Conservation since 1968.

Robert J. Spadaro, 42, of Route 146, died Friday in Albany Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

ALTAMONT — Robert J. Spadaro, 42, of Route. 146, died Friday in Albany Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Albany, he lived in Altamont most of his life. He was a graduate of Guilderland Central High School and Paul Smith's College., with a degree in forestry.

Unemployed at the time of his death, he had been an insurance examiner with the state Department of Labor in Albany, a position he held since 1975. Before that, he was employed by the state Department of Environmental
Conservation since 1968.

Mr. Spadaro was a communicant of St. Lucy's Roman Catholic Church in Altamont.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Mack Spadaro; his father, Joseph P. Spadaro of Altamont; a brother, Ronald P. Spadaro of Albany; and his maternal grandmother, Minnie Dexter of Knox.
