KNOX Stephen F. Shedina, 93, died at home Tuesday April 21, 2009. He was a Army medic serving in South Pacific during World War II. Stephen is survived by his wife, Elizabeth J. (Kolb) Shedina; two daughters, Lydia (Elmer) Ogaard of Knox and Marie A. Simon of Rockport, Texas; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Michael (Mandi), Erica, Diana, Wesley (Susan), Stephanie (Justin) and Kevin; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Nathan, and Jonathan; a stepbrother, William Przysiecki of Schoharie. He is predeceased by his son, Stephen F. Shedina Jr.; sister, Mary Cienciva; three brothers, William, Joseph and Charlie Shedina; a stepbrother, Roman Przysiecki; three stepsisters, Mary C. Smith, Helen Sprung and Julia Rener; as well as a son-in-law, Lawrence D. Simon. A funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m. on May 1, 2009 at the Fredendall Home, Altamont, followed by an interment in Knox Cemetery. Donations may be made in Stephen's memory to the Knox Reformed Church, PO Box 86, Knox, NY 12107 or the American Legion Post 977, P.O. Box 461 Altamont, NY 12009. FredendallFuneralHome.com

the United States Navy. He had
