Like many of the other Andersonville prisoners, Addison Reinhart died at a young age. He died less than a decade after his release on November 2, 1874 in Knox, Albany County, NY. After his death, his wife Ida married [[Jay Schoonmaker]] (B. 1859, D. June 14, 1944).<ref name="Bernehistory"/> Ida died on December 17, 1922.<ref name="Bernehistory"/>

SENORA REINHART BROWNELL

Senora Brownell, wife of Peter S. Brownell, passed into life eternal early Sunday morning, April 18 (1948). Mrs. Brownell suffered a stroke the previous Friday and never regained consciousness. She was 72 years of age, the daughter of the late Addison Reinhart and Ida Hiltsley, and a life long resident of Berne and near vicinity. In 1894 she became the bride of Peter S. Brownell and moved to Berneville.

She was a member of the the Berne Reformed church for over 50 years and an active member in both the church and Missionary society.

She is survived by her husband, Peter S. Brownell; three daughter, Mrs. Fred Schoonmaker, Mrs. George Karas and Mrs. Burdell Truax; one son, Herbert; four grand children and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral was held from Brunk Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon. Rev. S. William Dultsman officiating. Burial was in the family plot, Knox cemetery.
