ALBANY Robert J. Rasche, 72, of State Street died Friday at the Samuel Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Mr. Rasche was born in Boston. He grew up and was educated in Atlanta, and moved to Albany in the early 1950s.
Mr. Rasche owned and operated Albany Camera Repair Service for 30 years before retiring in 1990.

He was an avid amateur radio operator for about 40 years, and was an honorary lifetime member of the Albany Amateur Radio Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Rena M. Wagner of Albany; and three grandchildren.

A period of mourning will be observed from 5-8 p.m. Monday in the Rasche residence, 950 State St.

Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of New York State, 8 Mountain View Ave., Albany, NY 12205.

Arrangements are by the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home.
