==Birth==
Mr. Nevins was born February 2, 1916 in Richmond Hill, Queens, son of Daniel and Caroline Reiss Nevins.
==Marriage and Children==
Thomas married Mary Biglen and had two daughters and five sons. The daughters are Catherine and Bernadette Nevins. The sons are Thomas C. Jr., Robert E., Daniel J., John M., and James F. Nevins.
==Occupation==
He worked for many years for Labor Union Local 190 until his retirement in 1978.
==Military Service==
Thomas served in the United States Army from 1934-36 and again from 1942-45. He was a First Sergeant with the 863rd Engineers Battalion, Co. A. His battles and campaigns included, Luzon, New Guinea and the Southern Phillipines.
==Death==
Mr. Nevins died on November 19, 1998.
==Burial==
Interment was November 23, 1998 in Westerlo Cemetery.

WESTERLO -- Thomas Cormac Nevins 82, of Westerlo, entered into eternal rest at his daughter's home on November 19, 1998. He was born February 2, 1916 in Richmond Hill, Queens, son of the late Daniel and Caroline Reiss Nevins. Mr. Nevins was a veteran of World War II. He served in the United States Army from 1934-36 and again from 1942-45. He was a First Sergeant with the 863rd Engineers Battalion, Co. A. His battles and campaigns included, Luzon, New Guinea and the Southern Phillipines. He was decorated with the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Phillippine Liberation Ribbon with one bronze star and the World War II Victory Medal. He worked for many years for Labor Union Local 190 until his retirement in 1978. His wife Mary Biglen Nevins predeceased him in 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Catherine T. Costello of Jensen Beach, FL and Bernadette M. Rivenburgh of Latham; five sons, Thomas C. Nevins, Jr. Bridgeville, CA, Robert E. Nevins of Gansevoort, Daniel J. Nevins of Albany, John M. Nevins of Westerlo and James F. Nevins of Guilderland; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will begin Monday 9:15 a.m. at Guilderland's DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Turnpike, Rt. 20, just west of Carmen Rd., (Rt. 146) followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumpter Ave., Guilderland. Calling hours will be held Saturday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Westerlo Cemetery. Contributions in Mr. Nevin's memory may be made to the Westerlo Rescue Squad, 592 State Route 143, Westerlo, NY 12193.
