Bernice graduated from the Altamont High School in 1932.

Bernice became a homemaker and household executive for most of her life.

She was a life member of [[St. Paul's Lutheran Church|St. Paul's Lutheran Church]] in Berne, a charter member of the Berne-Knox PTA, a 50 year member of [[Uhia Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star|Uhia Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star]], and a member of the [[Hilltowns Senior Citizens|Hilltowns Senior Citizens]].

==Death==
Bernice passed away at the age of 83, after a brief illness, in Bassett Hospital, [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobleskill_(town),_New_York Cobleskill, Schoharie County] on September 31, 1998. Her funeral was from [[St. Paul's Lutheran Church|St. Paul's Lutheran Church]], [[Berne|Berne]] and she was buried in [[Woodlawn Cemetery|Woodlawn Cemetery]].

Aug. 7, at 4 o'clock, at [[St. Paul's Lutheran Church|St. Paul's Lutheran Church]], which was decorated with a variety of summer flowers. Rev. Russell B. Greene officiated at the ceremony.

The bride, who was escorted to the altar by her father, wore a bridal gown of white satin with a long train and princess lace sleeves and a long tulle veil. She carried a bridal bouquet of white gladiolus, sweet pea, and baby breath.

Attendants were two matrons of honor, her sister, Mrs. Howard Wright, who wore a gwwn of pink
crepe de chene, and her cousin, Mr. Raymond Lendrum, who wore an aqua crepe de chene gown. Both
matrons wore aqua Dutch hats tied with pink satin ribbon at the back, and carried bouquets of pink gladiolus and baby breath.
